Distributed ecological fund
Distributed capital and protocol lab announced the establishment of an investment fund of more than 15 million US dollars. The mission of the fund is to promote the development of IPFs and filecoin ecology. The distributed plan raises us $15-20 million and promises that all financing and investment will be in the form of fil instead of stable currency or other encrypted assets. Distributed has invested $1 million in the fund with other limited partners. There are three main sources of distributed target investment transactions: slingshot project, longhash filecoin frontier acceleration camp and Chinese community.

Starling data integrity framework enables organizations to use the power of cryptography and distributed systems to verify digital video and images. Starling has three modules: acquisition, storage and verification. IPFs / filecoin framework is also embedded in these three modules.
Ob1 is about to complete the first version of filehive, which is a new dataset market based on Powergate and filecoin of textile. Filehive makes it easy to plan, store and monetize data. The project is completely open source under MIT license, so you can run it yourself or use the platform to build your own customized implementation.
Development and upgrading
Lotus has released v1.4.2, which is an optional but highly recommended version. It improves the trading experience and provides new functions and improvements for lotus miners. Welcome Venus to join the main network of filecoin
As a decentralized network, filecoin aims to have multiple independent protocol implementations to ensure the reliability and security of the network. Venus is one of the four protocol implementations currently being developed in filecoin network, which constructs a more flexible ecosystem.
Venus, formerly known as go filecoin, is the first filecoin implementation created in golang language.
We are pleased to announce that f0128788, a miner running Venus v0.9.0 at block height of 455673, has dug out its first block on the main network. This milestone marks that the main network of filecoin has entered a new era. Miners can run multiple implementations together, adding additional security and decentralization to the network.
In order to maximize the amount of useful storage that filecoin can and will support, the network innovatively introduces a layer of social trust through filecoin plus. Users use a new way, datacap, to trade with miners, which greatly improves the enthusiasm of miners to store data, because over time, miners’ block reward share will increase.
Filecoin plus is a technically challenging and pragmatic solution, that is, to verify whether a specific data set is useful in an unauthorized and incentive compatible pseudonym network, and to propose a method to encourage the use of the network through production.
The purpose of the filecoin minerx scholarship program is to involve a wide range of small and medium-sized filecoin miners from different places to improve the experience and productivity of filecoin. Specifically, the goal of the program is to build a solid foundation for globally distributed, reliable long-term storage, to accelerate the development of tools and services in the ecosystem, and to identify ways to improve the experience of other miners in the filecoin community.
Minerx members will accept storage and retrieval transactions during the program period, support various development efforts, determine the direction of network improvement, reach out to the community, and increase their network footprint.
Understand the distribution and supply of filecoin
The economic mechanism embedded in the filecoin protocol ensures that network activities and stakeholders match the long-term healthy development of the network. The mechanism of seigniorage variable, unlocking mode, token consumption and collateral requirement based on network growth make the incentive and motivation of participants match the long-term success of the network.

Filecoin community meeting plan
The filecoin community meeting is an opportunity to get to know the team behind many of the tools and projects in the filecoin ecosystem. We had a community meeting in February, and we will have our next online meeting on March 9 at 1 p.m. (Pacific time).
Di2f seminar was held in IFIP networking 2021, using IPFs and filecoin to achieve Internet decentralization.
The first di2f workshop will be held at an important web conference, where participants from academia, industry, filecoin and IPFs ecology, as well as the wider distributed web community, will gather. The seminar welcomes ongoing papers, position statements and project presentations. Relevant competitions will provide participants with opportunities to develop on IPFs and filecoin and win prizes.
